Where was Swallow Place?

Recommended Posts

Anyone know where Swallow Place was? I am searching my family tree and my grandmother lived there briefly in 1901. The census says that it was in the Attercliffe area. I have searched Google maps but it isn't marked, probably demolished!

Thanks for any help.

I THINK there was a Swallow STREET of Norman Road (Newall road area), about 40 years ago. ROWS & rows of terraced houses.

Isn't there an estate in Page Hall where all the streets are named after birds?

Wow, you've dug that old map up well!

I went there once, about 40-45 years ago, so I suppose I wasn't far off!
