Parcelona   10 #1 Posted November 9, 2003 HI  Slightly different thread / request, I am having a weekend break in Sheffield next weekend with my wife, and we would like to see Scotland / Holland game.  Any suggestions as to a pub where a 60 year old couple would be welcome, central Sheffied.   Pars fan
 Share this content via...
Andy C   86 #2 Posted November 9, 2003 The following city centre pubs/bars tend to show football  Walkabout Fountain Bar Old Monk Yorkshire Grey Cutler Pub Globe Howard  Note most pubs that show football also seem to be orientated towards students, so quite how suitable some of the above would be I'm not sure, what does everyone else think? tinajones   10 #3 Posted November 9, 2003 the yorkshire grey and the old monk are less studenty than the others listed above. also they are a bit quieter and don't get rowdy very often.
 Share this content via...

max   13 #5 Posted November 12, 2003 I can understand coming to Sheffield for a weekend break as a treat for both of you. To then go and sit in a pub and watch a football game. Get a life.  Having said that, I hope you enjoy your visit.
 Share this content via...
Andy C Â Â 86 #6 Posted November 12, 2003 The Cutler pub is on Cambridge Street, just down from the City Hall. It is part of a complex of 2 bars - upstairs in the Stardust club. Â The Old Monk is a big cavernous bar with big screens across the square from the Crucible and Lyceum theatres. Â Yorkshire Grey is on the junction of Arundel Gate and Brown Street, opp Hallam University.
 Share this content via...
