Where's the best place to get ear's pierced and how much?

is wondering where is the best place to get my ear's pierced at.

how much does it cost?.

Hinds Jewellers at Meadowhall or Crystal Peaks pierce ears, its a bit more dignified than sitting in the window of Claire's for all to see. The price includes a choice of studs and a bottle of after care lotion. Sorry, I can't remember how much it was but I'm sure if you give them a ring they'll tell you.

Don't go anywhere that offers to pierce your ear with a gun; get it done with a needle instead.

 

I'd recommend Thou Art on Chapel Walk, or Blue Banana at Orchard Square. Both about £10 and with a needle.

 

(Or go to the hairdressers or jewellers and risk smashed cartilage and/or an infection for a few quid less)

Ditto above. I had mine done with a gun and they're forever closing up and I have to wiggle an earring about until the hole opens up again.

 

With a gun, the earring itself is used at the implement piercing the ear. Think about the back of a stud earring: it's blunt, and so when forced through your earlobe quickly will cause the skin to tear. Now think about a needle: it's sharp and will actually pierce the earlobe cleanly, leaving a hole that will heal much faster and more uniformly, leaving you with less issues later on.
