bladesufc1 Â Â 10 #133 Posted September 13, 2010 Why do you think this? Â if aliens can travel faster than we can imagine. This would mean that they could be a millions of years old than we are. This in turn would also mean they could mine ANY planet in the universe. Which in turn would mean they have discovered many may different metals and other materials we have no idea of. And the possibility of mixing more than 1 material would then create another material
 Share this content via...
truman   10 #134 Posted September 13, 2010 As interesting as this is I don't see how a few blades from possibly an earthly jet engine has anything to do with aliens...or did I miss a bit somewhere?
 Share this content via...
Longcol   597 #135 Posted September 13, 2010 If a jet had crashed that close to the city nearly all north Sheffield would have heard it. Plus the damage caused by the crash would have been found pretty quickly - quite a lot of people use those woods.
 Share this content via...

Any elementary metals that are as yet undiscovered are extremely likely to be very radioactive and unusable. As far as alloys are concerned, then maybe but I think we probably have as good an understanding of alloys here on Earth. I think if extraterrestrial life is really advanced then they would probably use carbon based materials for their craft which are still being developed here. Tony   10 #137 Posted September 13, 2010 (edited) location, up penistone road to norfolk hill, go up norfolk hill about 20 yds to houses on right, at first house is a public footpath, go up path untill its summit..slight fork in path..keep to right of holly bush..then enter woodland down hill till you get to a large holly bush..about 20 foot down hill, find crater in front of you with disturbed ground from digging, also look at damage to trees, you can follow the path of whatever crashed by looking closly at damaged trees. dont know what landed but thats where all the bits have been found scattered and at a depth of around 8/10 inches.  Greno Woods at Grenoside?  You're trying to tell us that An RAF Tornado crashed in Grenoside while chasing a UFO at supersonic speed and nobody noticed?  You're barking. They could be craters from a UFO but most likly from the WW2 bombs that fell there.
 Share this content via...
