Any suggestions?  Why Aluminium? UPVC would seem the best way to go.
 Share this content via...
saf1901 Â Â 10 #3 Posted September 7, 2010 the long answer: for the dimensions we are looking at (6 x3m) upvc would have to be aluminium reinforced anyway which doesn't make it any cheaper. also get a wider range of colours with aluminium. Â short answer: the wife wants it...
 Share this content via...
MZ2832 Â Â 10 #4 Posted September 7, 2010 Mine is 6m x 4m and uPVC without re-enforcing. The technology in the roof design means it does not need ties across (which I was adament I wouldn't have). Â Happy for you to come and look if you like.
 Share this content via...

MZ2832 Â Â 10 #6 Posted September 7, 2010 It's a pitched roof. Edwardian style I think they call it. Â I mentioned it to my builder tonight and he didn't understand the reinforcing bit either.
 Share this content via...
