What is happening at Olive Grove Road Depot? Area evacuated - 26/08/10

Afternoon everyone,

 

Does anyone know what is happening at Olive Grove Road Depot?

 

My partner and kids and the rest of the street have all been evicted and moved to the Sports club for safety......they have been told they may not get back for anywhere between a couple of hours and 24 hours?!

I'm just down from the police tape and still at home, nobody been round though.

Can't see anything from here though so it must be in the large warehouse/garage they have at the top end.

Probably some unexploded argument over which union rep has or hasn't been allowed to sit on the offical union rep chair in the office etc...

Gas leak at the council depot, apparently. (could just be another excercise in police tactics though, just to wake people up a bit!)

Anyone know what's going off at Heeley Green to stop the buses?

Apparantly it is a leaking Oxy-Acetylene cylinder....

 

It could be at least 5.5hours before we can go back home.
