gracejanet   10 #1 Posted November 1, 2003 We are hoping to move back to sheffield from the south west and have applied to rent for a housing association ( Northern Counties), does anyone have any idea how quickly you can move up the list, they have said we are in 8th position in some areas. We are just looking for a rough idea, months, years etc!
 Share this content via...
Spacehopper   10 #2 Posted November 1, 2003 Nah Den Ace.........  Just depends what the turnover of properties is like and how many properties there are for the area you have chosen.  For example, being 8th on the list for Hyde Park (loads of properties, reasonable turnover) - you may get something pretty soon. However, 8th on the list for Totley (limited properties, low turnover) - then I'd guess that you'd be waiting for somebody to die!  Don't forget, people who are higher up the list than you may not want the property when they are offered it (they may have found alternative accomodation or simply don't like what they are being offered) - thus moving you further up the list.  For a fairly accurate estimate, I would ask NC what timescale you are looking at. Good luck.........  Regards,  Spacehopper.
 Share this content via...
