New Job in Sheffield

Recommended Posts

Just landed a new job working for 'Orange'. They are currently upgrading all their comms equipment and they are installing a whole new range of new masts in the South West of the city. Should keep me busy till Xmas....26 new masts of varying sizes in Council and other public buildings in the area.

I much prefer the internal masts to the external, doesn't attract the protests so much....you just can get on and install them without people kicking up a fuss.

Church tower installs are the best - no tight little holes to crawl into as in some of the older buildings like the public libraries.

Whatever you do don't say where they are going to be.

too late - planning permission has been granted and by the time they know where they are going it will be too late.

Excellent! Are they gonna be 3G or normal ones? Or do 3G ones boost normal phone signals?
