Well I hate it when people comment on my Harrods bags, or when I come struggling home weighed down by shopping from Waitrose or Marksies.

Tesco and I do it online:)

Cannot BEAR supermarkets, especially with a 2 year old in tow so we do our shopping online and it's delivered to our door for £3.99 - well worth it!

I only shop at supermarkets in emergancies - like when it's 6.30pm, I've just finished work and there's no food in the cupboards.

Generally though, I try to be a bit more organised and support local producers. I shop at Edinburgh farmers market most saturdays, which is great for locally grown produce and locally farmed fish. It's great value too - the other week I bought a whole organic trout for under £2, and they're about £6 in Sainburys. I have a couple of local organic supermarkets that I visit.

Supermarkets are responsible for a lot of evils in the world, including releasing greenhouse gases, factory farming, animal cruelty, packaging waste, and the demise of local grocery stores.

Note to Zinger549 - it gets noticed much more quickly if you used the 'report this post' link ;)

hehe JonJParr, when I saw that you'd posted on here, I fully expected you to say that, or Waitrose (bon viveur and all that!) :P

Mum does our shopping at a combination of Morrisons in Hillsborough and Tesco's on Infirmary Road (which actually isn't 24 hour despite advertisement to the contrary :loopy: ), mostly Tesco's though.. Morisson's just takes too long to get round all the aisles IMO.
