Guest karenjane39 Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 Tesco and I do it online:) Cannot BEAR supermarkets, especially with a 2 year old in tow so we do our shopping online and it's delivered to our door for £3.99 - well worth it!
JBee Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 I only shop at supermarkets in emergancies - like when it's 6.30pm, I've just finished work and there's no food in the cupboards. Generally though, I try to be a bit more organised and support local producers. I shop at Edinburgh farmers market most saturdays, which is great for locally grown produce and locally farmed fish. It's great value too - the other week I bought a whole organic trout for under £2, and they're about £6 in Sainburys. I have a couple of local organic supermarkets that I visit. Supermarkets are responsible for a lot of evils in the world, including releasing greenhouse gases, factory farming, animal cruelty, packaging waste, and the demise of local grocery stores.

Rich Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 Mum does our shopping at a combination of Morrisons in Hillsborough and Tesco's on Infirmary Road (which actually isn't 24 hour despite advertisement to the contrary ), mostly Tesco's though.. Morisson's just takes too long to get round all the aisles IMO.
