I've voted for Richard Pryor but I would also go for Chris Rock as well. A mention should also go to Denis Leary.

 

Regular visits to the Lescar mean that mentions must also be made of:

Ross Noble - great on TV but has to be seen live to see the best of him.

Daniel Kitson - surely the best comedian on the UK circuit at the mo. Seen him twice so far - the first time he did about 5 encores and the second time he went on until 11.30pm.

Noel James - Welsh surrealist (anyone heard his joke about the man who rubbed baked beans into his eyes...)

Dan Antopolski - Weird, surreal, genius

Brendan Riley - Scouse, brilliantly funny

 

If you haven't seen Woody Bop Muddy make damn sure you make the effort next time he is around - totally bonkers , record graveyard, and RICE. Doesn't sound great but he's the only guy I ever saw get the full attention of the audience at the Cavendish.

 

And finally it would be a crime not to give a shout out to Toby Foster - 'nuff said.

Just for the record, I didnt put the people in the poll because I particularly liked them, I just couldnt think of other people at the time, but as this thread shows there a way too many to list.
