Replacement wheel bearings cost?

Recommended Posts

I drive a 53 plate fiesta, there's a knocking like noise when I drive.

Today i've been for my tracking checked thinking this might be the problem, it was a bit out and it's been reset but the noise is still there.

I've been told it's my wheel bearing that needs replacing, any idea how much this should cost?

a wheel bearing usually makes a groaning noise not knocking

get a few prices before you jump in

It's definatley something wheel related, as it speeds up with acceleration.

Think i'm gonna take it to the garage i normally go to as they're decent guys there.

If its a wheel bearing the noise usually quietens down on cornering as weight is transfered from the side of the worn bearing. The sound of a bearing is a sort of woo woo woo woo noise.A fiesta wheel bearing usually dosnt cost much either depending if its front or rear.

Could just be a dry CV joint if the boot as leaked the grease from it will make a clicking noise.
