WhiteRabbit   10 #1 Posted August 26, 2005 Anyone remember a club called Sex II that was upstairs behind a trendy nightclub on the road behind Debenhams (I can't remember Sheffield street names anymore!) opposite what used to be The Anvil cinema?  Two guys called Kelvin and Lee (Richmond College students) used to run it and although it was shortlived they took loads of photos on the opening night (1986/87 time) and would beam them around the walls. pete_fcs   11 #2 Posted August 29, 2005 yes i remember it, it was on charter row.  shortly after i think the same room was used for the short-lived "club with two brains", run by philip b. watson (blammo/ speedy vocalist) and, if i remember right, george erigotidus (not sure of spelling) who also started a sheffield magazine in 1987 called "signs", and worked at radio sheffield's r.o.t.t  then there was the groovy fishtank at the maze bar... completely irrelevant but interesting 'cos it was run by zig, a.k.a. the bloke who later joined pulp on guitar!
