Guest makapaka #25 Posted May 4, 2018 Good luck - I believe if a pint of real ale comes into contact with music or television it turns into Carling Black Label.
 Share this content via...
SpiderPete 10 #26 Posted May 4, 2018 it wouldn't surprise me if Bar Stewards show it. New Barrack Tavern are showing it. Only problem with HOS is they don't put the sound on.
 Share this content via...

Thought the Bar Stewards were exclusively egg chasers? As are most beer drinkers with a physique too rotund to play a more skillful sport... SteelThistle 10 #28 Posted May 4, 2018 I think The Ship Inn at Shalesmoor, may have it on. I remember nipping in for the Euro's and they were waiting for a telly being delivered for it (or was it a dream?) Anyway, been a long time since I have been in there, but give em a call and you will be in and amongst real ale pubs. OO and The Forest on Rutland Road may have it on too. muddycoffee 10 #29 Posted May 4, 2018 Surely if it is showing football or has a TV it can't be a real ale pub. Real ale pubs don't have TVs I can't think of anything worse to destroy the enjoyment of ale.
 Share this content via...

Veritas 10 #31 Posted May 4, 2018 I suppose that some will not consider The Blind Monkey to be a real ale pub but they should be showing games weather permitting outside in the Beer Garden on their 60’ screen
 Share this content via...

Real ale pubs don't have TVs I can't think of anything worse to destroy the enjoyment of ale. In some places it is rare for real ale pubs to show TV sport. And Sheffield is one of those places. In other places (Liverpool is an obvious example) that's not the case at all.
 Share this content via...
