Anybody know where I can find the services of a local maths tutor for private tuition?

There is one on Owlerton Green at Hillsborough near to Swann-Morton that tutors math and english I think, Mrs Allott if memory serves.

You can use a private firm. I used bright young things tuition for the maths for our 12 year old.

They seem pretty together.

You'd be better off asking in the United States. Nobody teaches Math in this country.
