kate1984 Â Â 10 #1 Posted May 7, 2010 I am wanting to go away for a week beggining of august before my baby comes and am needing to have my dogs boarded. Â Im in s26 and dont mind travelling but i want to make sure wherever they go the people will listen to my wishes as last year the owner where they went changed the food they were on among other things! Â I have enquired a few places but I have 2 english bull terriers a bitch 18 month old and a dog 12 month old and also a 2 year staffy bitch. The bullies can go together but the bitches MUST NEVER be together so i would need 2 pens. Â Last year my english bull male managed to escape, chewed through chicken wire and his collar got stuck and came off, luckily he was taken to a kennels at woodhouse mill, but the woman there spoke to me like i was something she had trod on and was very much up her own bottom so that is one place i dont want recommending thanks. Â It wont be cheap for 3 dogs so i want somewhere nice, and where they will be walked, any advice would help loads.
 Share this content via...
sezbetz   10 #2 Posted May 7, 2010 Hi  I use the hollows knnels which isnt far form you and I have alwaysf ound them to be very good. However you would need to see if they have space asap as all reputable kennels get booked up early for the kids summer holidays. Also always go for a look round before you first board your dogs anywhere as it helps to put your mind at rest.  Hope you find what you are looking forx
 Share this content via...

bogwoppit   10 #5 Posted May 7, 2010 I have just used a kennels called Croft farm for my older staffy. They have individual (if required) paddocks for all dogs so they all get a good run each day and the kennels are spacious and really clean. The kennels also have different levels which I thought was great so the dogs aren't sleeping where they're eating etc. Karina who runs (or works there) is lovely too, and seems a really good price. They're just off J31 of the M1, about 15mins from city centre - will PM number if needed.
 Share this content via...
kate1984 Â Â 10 #6 Posted May 7, 2010 Croft sounds lovely bogwoppit, yeah when you get time pm me details and i will have a nosey there. Â I always thought it was so hard to find a "good" nursey for my children when i went back to work, seems strange that i am so protective over 3 stinky dogs that chew my bra's! Don't know if you saw my other thread but Luna did really well with Tom at Walkease. He also runs a dog walking buisiness and she seemed to really enjoy her time walking with him and the other dogs. Found him after ringing about 10 numbers (including the ones you gave me) with no luck. Shame it didn't work out with you but at least we have found someone. Thanks again for everything x
 Share this content via...
