Rob_1 Â Â 10 #183 Posted January 2, 2014 (edited) Just to point out, you are only responsible for the pipework up to the manhole if it is a shared drain system. The manhole and everything after it is the responsibility of the water company. Â Our manhole was full of sh*te last week, I have home emergency cover and they came out to look but as it's a shared drain and the blockage was in or after the manhole the guy just rang Yorkshire water. They came out and sorted it, and as the manhole surround is broken the guy also put a job in for it to be fixed and they are coming tomorrow to do it. He also put a camera all the way down to next doors to make sure the blockage was cleared properly. Â Morale of the story is, don't pay someone until you find out who's responsible!
