Helicopter over Walkley/Hillsborough

Recommended Posts

Just tried to drive through Hillsborough and had to U-turn.

There were various emergency vehicles (about 3 fire engines, paramedics...)at the corner near the bridge/river opposite Chatanogas take away on Holme Lane.

Anybody know what had happened? Hopefully nothing serious.

All the police lady said when I asked was a male had gone over the wall. Fire crews were down there with ladders ambulance on standby, I didn't hang around the 200 odd 'spectators' were enough for the authorities to deal with.

Holme lane and Langsett rd were closed as I went past.

Five fire engines parked outside Chatanoga.

Hope it's not more serious than a few burnt pizzas (the shop itself looked fine actually so it might be further down).

Why are 5 fire crews needed to pull a jumper out of the water? It's not even deep or especially fast flowing. No ambulances or police there either.
