I've just checked next weekends tv schedule and The Pacific is not being shown, like I suspected crafty Sky showed the first two episodes last night in an attempt to get people to subscribe to watch the remaining episodes on the movie channel.

If you have been with Sky for any length of time they you will know they don't give you anything for free other than the very occasional free movie pass weekend

(I can only recall them doing this twice in the 2O years I've been with Sky) or a taster like "The Pacific".

When Sky showed the first couple of episodes of the "The Pacific" it was fairly obvious to me that they wouldn't be showing the whole series bearing in mind that "The Pacific" is shown on one of Sky's premium movie channels.

Don't forget Sky 3 is the only Sky channel apart from SkyNews that freeview viewers can receive, so it's not surprising that "The Pacific" was specifically on Sky Three rather than Sky One or Sky two.

So, at last ..'The Pacific' is on Sky Atlantic.

I've watched the first two episodes and am enjoying it.I guess if you wait long enough, things come around again:)
