flowerpotdd 10 #1 Posted April 13, 2010 I always borrow my mates. I need one myself. I've seen 2 at what I think maybe a good price. A kurcher 1300w at £79.99 and an RAC 1300w at £50.00. I use it to clean my paving alot. What are these like, have you used them? Is that power ok? Or is higher better? Thanks
 Share this content via...
Lurch 10 #2 Posted April 13, 2010 When you say you use it to clean your paving a lot, how often is a lot, and how much paving is there? Do you intend using it for anything else? The cheap ones do the job, complete pot luck as to whether they last more than 12 Months.
 Share this content via...

carosio 186 #4 Posted April 13, 2010 (edited) I've got one of those RAC ones, only used it once due to the cold weather but shall be using it frequently now it has improved. It began to leak where the lance locks into the handle so I fitted a slightly thicker O ring and it now seems ok. Also, the lance lock spigots need a bit of vaseline for easier engagement. The hose reel facility seems, on the face of it convenient but I noticed that it there was a tendency for the hose to remain "coiled" when unwinding it, but again, It may have been due to the cold weather. I have noticed that on other makes, the hose-to-pistol grip has a quick action hand connector whereas this one has to be done with a 17mm spanner, although the lance can be parked into the holster on the side of the case without undoing it. PS If you take out one of those Replacement Cover jobs (available at some stores), you can flog it to death for 3 years and if it fails within this time they'll give you another. garrence 10 #5 Posted April 13, 2010 Get a Karcher. They're a proper make and spares are widely available. You'll want at least 100 bar pressure for paving. I wouldn't bother with the T-racer thing, I tried one but find the pressure lance to be much faster and easier. Don't pay full price, there's always loads of pressure washer offers on over summer.
