When I 'lose' the Internet - I lose it completely (in more ways than one). I don't understand that, sorry. I either have a signal, or I don't.

Yes, in hindsight, I've noticed that it's been problematic this last few days then gone altogether now. Like you, just getting "authorising".

Still down at 8.00 a.m following day, Talktalk say at least pm. before it's back...........if at all!

Same here, no major problems.If connection goes down, i just turn router off for 5-10 seconds,then it re-connects to internet.
