I was in the beer tent last night and it was a good do! Tried quite a number of ales, had the ice cream made with beer too and that was pretty nice!

Will be back Saturday.

I'm heading down on Saturday. Fingers crossed the weather stays like this - definitely beer drinking weather.

Just to add... Anyone know whether you need tickets? I've seen a Facebook link which says you do, but not sure whether you need 'em in advance. Cheers!

I went last night and you can pay on the door. Its a fiver to get in which includes a branded plastic pint glass (with half pint and third pint lines). Payment at the bar is a beer token system, you buy a £5 token card from the entry desk and they cross the price of each beer off as you order. All beers are available in pint, half pint and third pint measures.

There are about 100 real ales, some brewed exclusively for the festival and about 10 ciders. There is also a Bernard lager bar with a choice of 4, including the dark lager. There is a stage with bands on and plenty of seating. There was a food stand selling sandwiches, pork pies and cheese and also a Hope Valley ice cream stand. They were also selling festival t-shirts and Kelham Island bottled beer gift packs.
