Anyone fancy a regular meet up to walk/socialise our dogs?

Recommended Posts

I would also be interested in meeting other dog owners, my hairless crestie is an absolute nightmare with other dogs. She yaps none stop when we see on on walks, shes 3 and always been an only pet.

Right time to stop talking and set a day and a time (I am not really bossy!!).

What about Saturday morning we could meet somewhere at 10am all accompanied by dogs of varying sizes as to where I only know places round S6 but can travel and want to discover new dog walking places so I will leave that for someone else to suggest:D

Fantastic to see a good few people interested. Shall we set a date and place to meet and see where we go from there? I'm happy to drive to meet, we regulary walk round Woodhouse nature reserve, Eckington woods, Westfield woods, Dore/Totly area.

isis, I've never met a hairless before be great to see you : ) and this is sort of thing I was hopeing we could do, meet up with our 'problem dogs' and try to help them become happier pooches (it would be nice for my Kai not to be the only anti social dog around!) If things work out we should have -

Becks with 3 dogs

William with 2 Boxers

emandmax with Max

eeejay with Rosco and Ruby

mglrgn with 2 pupsters

Dr.One with the beautiful Potato

and isis with hairless crestie

fallenangel good luck in finding your perfect pooch, still come and join us if you want, it might be nice to see all the different breeds and charaturistics : )

I don't know most of the places mentioned, we usually walk around Endcliffe or Graves, but we can find out. Have a car so not a problem.

I would love my dog to get to know other dogs. While on walks she just barks constantly at larger dogs but she lives with a chocolate labrador. I think she's just very curious of people and other dogs + trys to protect us lol. But she's nearly 7 weeks pregnant so I can't bring her :(

I'm a party pooper at weekends as many will support, usually because we're either busy at the stables or walking the complete pack - and adding 5 more dogs to the mix may be too lively for us.

Anyone in Rotherham fancy walking with a Yorkie ? Our dog isnt confident on walks and the company of another dog would help. I cant walk miles though!

Hi I have a 15month old lab and would love to join any dog walking groups as I think he's rather lonely. My husband and I could do most weekends. Were you thinking a big field were they can all go off lead? Or just a walk round some woods somewhere?

Ok Becks37, as this was your idea I think maybe you should set the day/time/place for this first meet.

Dr One. graves might be a good place to start as everyone surely knows where it is! and as I have no clue of people's ability might be best to stay away from muddy wet trails for now!

William, I can fully understand that, sounds like your weekends are hectic enough : ) I'd be happy to meet once the nights lighten a little more, I've just got to meet your Boxers now. May be if this walking group kicks off we can discuss walking more evenings.

Saturday's 11am Graves Park to start us off ?

sara, I like to have mine off lead, me and oh usually avoid busy places like the plague, its more habbit though as when we got our first dog 5 years ago she wasn't good with other dogs, but now she's trusted and good with other dogs what do we do? go and take on another with problems! typical.

Hope you can make it : )
