Boy hit by bus on Barnsley/Burngreave road

This afternoon at about 17:00 there was an accident on Barnsley road just at the junction with Burngreave Road. It appeared to have been a young boy that was hit by a bus.

 

Does anyone know what happened to him? I was on a bus going past the scene and as you can imagine, it's highly upsetting.

 

At the time he was not moving, so it's unclear what his condition was.

 

Any news would be greatly appreciated -preferably good news!

i also so this i was driving past on my scooter i just saw a man/boy being questioned in the back of a police car thats it

I also drove past around 5 o'clock hel was lying completely still saw the police car arrive and then saw the ambulance racing up barnsley road with its sirens on

When we drove past it struck me that no one was actually knelt beside him at that point in time, which kind of worried me?

An ambulance was leaving the scene at speed when I passed at 5.30. Multiple police cars in attendance.

Nothing was said in The Star, so I'm hoping that means he is alive and well.
