Clerks 2. Clerks great, but for real laugh out loud the second one takes it.

 

Pulp Fiction has to be in there just for some of the black humour and one liners, as does Snatch.

My favourite funny lines are -

Fabienne: Whose motorcycle is this?

Butch: It's a chopper, baby.

Fabienne: Whose chopper is this?

Butch: It's Zed's.

Fabienne: Who's Zed?

Butch: Zed's dead, baby. Zed's dead.

 

And you really can't help but laugh out loud when the Fox Force Five tomato joke is finally revealed!

 

And the bit where they squabble over the dead guy's brains being blown to bits in the car scene. Laughter becomes a release from what you've just witnessed.

 

And the scene where John Travolta gets killed when the pop-tart in the toaster pops up. Brilliantly funny scene.

 

And... that fabulously funny scene where the ex prisoner of war presents Daddy's watch to the little boy. You squirm with laughter as the history of the watch unfolds.

 

Then what about these lines....

Butch: Will you hand me a towel, tulip?

Fabienne: Ah, I like that. I like tulip. Tulip is much better than mongoloid.

 

Pulp Fiction is a truly funny film.

 

Going back a bit in time, I'd vote Ethel Merman and a star studded cast in "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" as one of the funniest films I've ever seen. Maybe somewhat dated now, but it is classic road film with loads of humour.
