scoobz   10 #1 Posted February 21, 2010 Sheffield Forum Shamblers   Walk: Broomhill/Broomhall Victorian suburbs walk  Date: 4th March 2010  Start time: 6.30pm  Meeting point: Outside Weston Park museum, Western Bank, Sheffield, S10 2TP  Approx distance: 3.5 miles  Approx duration: 1.5 hours  Route: Circular route either passing, or going through Crookes Valley Park, Broomhill, Botannical Gardens, Broomhall.  Terrain: Tarmaced footpaths entirely. Slight inclines and descents, but mostly flat.  Parking: Street parking off Whitham Road charged at 20p for an hour up to 6.30, free after that. The streets are very busy, so please allow a fair amount of time to find a space.  Refreshments: West End pub at the end of the walk  Toilets: As above  Public transport: 52 bus from town amongst others  Additional information: This is a social/health walk and will be especially suitable for anybody who is new to walking.   IMPORTANT: Anyone joining the walk should be of a level of fitness relative to the walk being undertaken, be appropriately dressed, have suitable footwear, and have with them enough food and drink for the duration of the walk.  * * * * * *  If you are intending to join us on this walk, would you please post on this thread, so we know who to expect.
