Jon8751 Â Â 10 #1705 Posted October 23, 2013 Good afternoon all - this is my first visit to Sheffield Forum so I hope that I am putting this message in the correct place. Â We moved house in March of this year and have had to undertake rather more renovation work than we bargained for! This has included the installation of a cellar pump to combat damp, replacement of roof insulation and extensive timber treatment. Â All of this work has been carried out by Whitecliffes of Stainton near Rotherham whose name appears elsewhere on this forum. If you want a thoroughly professional, reliable and efficient team to do your job, I would strongly recommend that you contact Whitecliffes. Eric the MD and all his team were great to have about the place in testing circumstances and we were particularly impressed by the attention they paid to clearing up at the end of each day. Lisalashes   10 #1707 Posted October 24, 2013 I am planning on renovating existing outer house structure into a dining room. Main changes to structure would be to knock internal wall, using steel lintel for support. Patio doors and window to two external walls. I have been advised by Sheffield City Council to provide detailed drawings of proposed work using a building notice application. The question is can anyone recommend a person to undertake the drawings and an idea of the costs involved.  Thank you in advance for any advice given. L, A, & D Â Â 10 #1709 Posted October 24, 2013 Hello, Â I have recently brought a property in sheffield and have a few problems with wet patches on the walls in the converted attic bedroom. This is extended into the eves and is very drafty also, so this is something I'm looking to rectify. Â Can anyone recommend a firm to quote on and carry out this work, or any advice? Â Many Thanks
 Share this content via...

Tone09   10 #1713 Posted October 24, 2013 Hello  I just wanted to recommend MET Gas Services (details below). They did a couple of jobs for me recently - Boiler repair and service, and some bath tap replacements. All work was to a good standard and reasonably priced (you get what you pay for).  I always struggle to find reliable trades people, so if anyone is looking for someone, you could do a lot worse!  Tone   MET Gas Services-Installation & breakdown specialist TEL:07592 418536 & 01142482170 Plumbing, central heating And Gas in Sheffield.
