Replacement car key original lost?

Does anyone know how to go about getting a car key cut when the original is lost? Its a citreon .. Can a citreon dealer do this with info off the log book ?

Yes the dealer can get a replacement cut/programed using your cars reg no.

Also look in the Yellow pages for a QUALITY Locksmith they can also provide new keys/coding by coming to you.You'll need your LOG BOOK and probably your D/L to hand,unfortunatley both options won't be cheap.

thanks will probably have to go to dealers tomorrow struggling to find a locksmith that does cars

a hunch.is it possable that the key is in the car.if so and the car is locked i can open it for you...mick

Doesn’t the key have to be programmed to the car I would have thought it’s a dealer job…………. Ouch.

was it expensive because i only have one car key and its my biggest worry that i will loose it but to get another so i have a spare was £40 and at the moment i think I would rather take the risk of just having one

Thanks for the helpful replies.It was my other half's son's car and he rang ex and she found a spare key thank god... After loads of phone calls and wondering what to do panic over but will be defo getting a duplicate :)
