I have had this problem a couple of times in the past and paid silly money to a main Renault dealer (thieving scrotes), but I recently had my car radio sorted via the link below for about three quid without actually having to get off my butt.

you may have to go into a car dealers and ask them they can look on their systems and re-set it for you

Go on ebay there is loads of people offering to decode radios all they need is the number off the top of the radio where the bar code is ,costs around £2-£3

I've used technicar on abbeydale road for various work over the last couple of years including a decode and would highly reccomend them. What zigzag says is worth a go for a couple of quid and may work but doesn't always.
