milquetoast1   10 #123 Posted March 5, 2010 Alan Hansen got the scar on his forehead as a result of him running through a glass door when he was 17.  http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2004/jul/07/theknowledge.sport  "The scar was the result of him running through a glass door when he was 17," explains Edward Connor. "Apparently, that same day the dog ate his homework and he left his PE kit at home." No need for the scepticism, Edward - it's all true: Hansen and his schoolmates were late for a volleyball tournament, and he led from the front in the rush to get to the changing-rooms, neglecting to acknowledge the minor detail of a plate of glass in front of him. Hansen was in hospital for four hours, and needed 27 stitches. "He sued the education authority," concludes Rob Glossop. "As has generally been his wont, he won."
 Share this content via...
milquetoast1   10 #124 Posted March 5, 2010 Joleon Lescott got the scar on his forehead as a result of being hit by a car when he was 5.  http://www.englandfootballonline.com/TeamPlyrsBios/PlayersL/BioLescottJP.html  Five year-old Lescott was struck by a car as he stepped into the road outside his primary school in the Midlands. His mother, sitting in the family car opposite, could only look on as her child was dragged along the road and suffered such severe head injuries that his survival was in doubt as he was taken away for major surgery. Numerous operations followed, leaving the scar that is still visible on Lescott's forehead and which has left a permanent reminder of that dreadful afternoon. His foot and lower leg were tatooed and he had a continuation of the foot tatoo re-applied in paint on his wooden leg.
 Share this content via...
