Who loves Skegness!!

Years ago it was o.k. but when i went last year it was awful, ****** up Chavs puking up, smelt of greasy fish and chips cooked in old oil, litter all over, bloody dump it is now.

skggies not bad but dont tar all the east coast with the same brush skeggy is very commercialised , try sutton on sea just up the coast, OCEANS BETTER and it still keeps its quaintness!!!!

I agree about scarborough, its a also a far better drive to get to as well.:thumbsup:

 

scarborough is too hilly and the last time i went there, i went into a pub on the backwacks that would make the cannon in sheffield town centre look posh

I was unfortunate enough to visit cleethorpes, Skegness and Blackpool last year all 3 were awful. Whitby and filey are much better

Used to love skeg-vegas when i was a kid, myuncle used to have a caravan on what used to be haven site next to butlins on the seafront. many happy days spent there.

It`s ok in small doses i guess. A weekend at the most. Bridlington has gone the same way though. I used to go loads as a kid but it`s gone downhill lately and a bl**dy big fair has sprung up on the front. I agree with scarborough being nicer as well as filey

:thumbsup:Ditto..Derbyshire Miners brilliant,also in the 60s used to go on motorbike (were a rocker then) camping on what is now Eastgate at Ingoldmells... no caravans in sight....lots of happy memories......couldn' afford to go to Butlins :|

You end up spending too much at Skegness. We went last summer and spent about a grand we wouldnt have spent that aboard
