Do you want to wake up with David Cameron and his rich chums leading our country?

I have my issues with Labour but I don't want to see the Tories get in by the back door

You could always find the facts for the benefit of the original poster!

I don't know why but I get the impression that those of a "Blue" political persuasion seem reluctant to discuss these issues.

Why bother? You have been countered on your points many times by me and many others but you do not listen, you just vanish for a few days or weeks if we are lucky then you come back with the same old claims .. Even when presented with clear and concise arguments you fail to accept anything. A trait not exclusive to you, your beloved party does exactly the same.

You’re a one trick pony that trawls the net for labour blogs to backup your arguments or just regurgitate Labour spin. Remember the Labour investment vs. Tory cuts claims you once lorded? When a number of posters presented the actual figures that shot both you and Gordon Brown down you disappeared into the shadows only to re-emerge with the latest Labour spin.

You are incapable of questioning Labour spin and propaganda. You are the worst kind of voter, one that does not question their chosen political masters to the detriment of all those around you.

And thats what Labour are doing. They will have to cut services and raise taxes because they sold off all the assetts. Gordon Brown flogged off the gold when it was at its lowest price. He sold out the pensions pot. Theres nowt to sell.

Whoever gets in will have to cut costs. Labour can say they won't but the reality is they will have to.

They haven't sold all the assets, I could wipe the debt out tomorrow by selling off some of the assets but it wouldn't be popular.

An example that I'm not advocating.

My mothers council house was worth around £20,000 in 1997, it is now worth around £100,000 so if these were sold off then hey presto no debt.

I'm not sure of your point, if you want to give 1 billion of money back to the families of these people and to take it away from the Schools and Hospitals then that is your choice. It isn't mine but each to their own.
Most of these people are just like you or me. How much is your house worth now? If house prices keep going up and they surely will because property always does, then some day your house will fall into the threshold. Lets say it takes 30 years. Your kids then become subject to inheritance tax is it fair they should?

Its not a split choice of "Shall we pay this nurse?" "No, lets have some toff not pay inheritance tax" its a case of keeping money in the pockets of normal, working people where it belongs. Or should Gordon and alistair have your money?

Still no evidence to the contrary!

Not surprised by this to be honest.

No I'm saying that it may never have been recorded, I've not seen either way but I do know if I need an operation then I don't want to go back to the bad old days of waiting months for it.

Ah that nice unbiased and carefully considered position from titanic.

Or you could look at the considered opinion of 1000 people of all political persuasions.

Reverse snobbery, nothing more. Many Labour MP's are also millionaires .. then look at Tony Blair, his part time job with JP Morgan earns him $5m a year alone. Do you think GB will head off to a council house back in his constancy? Hell no, he is heading for millions for sinking this country.

The champagne socialists sold you and everyone else in this country out long ago. Those who still insist on voting for them should have their heads examined.

You weren't under the Tories, I believe it was Invalidity Benefit then and the figure was around 2.1 million when Labour came to power.

My understAnding is that the 2.5 million is the universally approved way of counting people which is why you get those types you've mentioned and not just those claiming JSA.

Your understanding is wrong. The official figure may be 2.5m but the actual figure is much much higher. Labour have changed the rules and the way the figures are counted so if you don't fall under the criteria you simply aren't counted unemployed even when you don't work.

That's when it comes down to your own personal feelings.

If you believe in a meritocracy, then you will argue that it is fair and I do so I have n problems with what you say.

Alternatively, if you believe people should be born into wealth and never have to work then obviously you wouldn't.

Most people are probably somewhere in between the two extremes.

I’ve countered your argument many times. Like I said you just disappear and come back with even more Labour tripe. If anyone wants to see, all they need do is use the search. Better still search for you and see the countless others who have done the same as me.

You're a one trick pony, nothing more. Luckily you're a dying bread and your Labour chums will all be out of a job soon enough.

Thats true they haven't sold all the assets. they have some that are very profitable. Tote bookmakers for example. It makes a lot of money and could be sold.

You would like to sell off council houses? Thats a great idea. Margaret Thatcher thought so as well and a lot of people made a lot of money from it.
