24-springer   10 #1 Posted January 9, 2010 Something that I've been wathing to keep an eye on the traffic and roads situation, and also watch for the snow arriving, are the following traffic cameras. Not sure if any of you are aware of them, but they are quite a useful resource.  Motorways - http://www.sy-transport.co.uk/traffic/motorway_jam_cams.htm  Sheffield - http://www.sy-transport.co.uk/traffic/sheffield_jam_cams.htm  By the way take extra care out on the roads, due to the snow and ice, we don't want any casualties.  Springer. Michael_N Â Â 36 #3 Posted January 9, 2010 Visit the site regularly and find it very useful personally. Will come in great handy tomorrow, for all the snow that is due. For more on that, see the BBC South Yorkshire website: http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast/
 Share this content via...

Planner1 Â Â 428 #7 Posted January 10, 2010 Any plans for anymore Planner1? Woodseats and Meadowhead Roundabouts would be very good contenders... I believe I read that they are putting a camera in as part of the proposed Meadowhead Roundabout improvement scheme.
 Share this content via...

cgksheff   44 #12 Posted January 10, 2010 All very useful and have been pointed out many times before (nothing wrong with a reminder) ...... but they are not what I would call "live".  They exhibit a still image that is renewed every minute .... until there is an "incident", of course, when the relevant camera is taken off from public viewing.
