South Sheffield loses it's only branch of the Halifax

Recommended Posts

All Halifax agencies are closing.

I believe the plan is to consolidate the business with Lloyds Bank, which already has a branch in Woodseats. Of course it would make more sense to do that before closing the agency....

On the other hand when you're in the mess that that company's got it's self into, you'd want to do everything you can to cut costs. Chances are these agencies don't make any money which is why they have to go.

If I were you, I'd change to a bank who do have a local branch. HSBC, Yorkshire, Lloyds or Natwest. Or the Post Office.

Natwest - being part of RBS - don't deserve anyone's custom.

South West Sheffield actually. West Sheffield is places like Ecclesall, Fulwood and Lodge Moor... :hihi:

And Crookes - almost directly west from the centre.
