Norbert   145 #25 Posted January 7, 2010 Rastafarians believe in Jesus and that Haile Selassie was his second coming. Therefore much of 70s Reggae could be called Christian music. And a lot of it doesn't suck.  Let Jah be praised!
 Share this content via...
Plain Talker   11 #26 Posted January 7, 2010 Are you askin'?  Ahhh, the memories:-  "Are y' dancin'?"  "Are y' askin'?"  "I'm askin'!"  "I'm dancin'!"  On a mountain stands a lady, Who she is, I do not know, All she wants is Gold and silver, All she wants is a nice young man!" tancer   10 #27 Posted January 7, 2010 King's X were a great Christian inspired rock band. Their first three albums are excellent and clearly influenced by their Christian beliefs. Proof IMO that the devil doesn't have all the best tunes!  Summerland ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVpjSoFpERc  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King's_X
 Share this content via...

Guest sibon   #29 Posted January 7, 2010 If you like a bit of rock, then Stryper aren't bad, though I don't think they're as good live as they could be.  Or, as Half Man Half Biscuit put it:  "Get thee behind me Stryper I've played your records backwards I've seen your antics in the Green Room"  Of course, you need to be old enough to have played records backwards to fully appreciate the lyric:hihi:
 Share this content via...

Barthian   10 #32 Posted January 7, 2010 Thanks for all the suggestions - I'm going to check them all out, (except perhaps Stryper who I'm sure are dodgy) and big up the best ones on my blog.  Much appreciated. Keep 'em coming!
 Share this content via...
Schiann   10 #33 Posted January 8, 2010 Tourniquet - One of the best technical thrash metal acts out there, and unapologetically Christian.  Theocracy - Another technical thrash band.  Jacob's Dream ... and more technical thrash.  Trouble - 80's doom band that were marketed as "white metal" back in the day.  And if you're into more melodic rock, you might try Guardian.
