Your saying that the card is listed and is enabled in device manager?

Is there a wireless icon down the bottom right? IF you double click or right click it what happens? If there isn't one can you look in 'my network places'

yes card is enabled and the icon is saying it's connected .the wireless connection status says it's conected, and excellent signal strength.

the problem maybe is with the firewall as i have stated below, but all is running in the firewall, so i;m not sure how to fix it.

What does internet explorrer display when you load it?

What firewall software are you using? I assume you have turned it off.

Where it says conncted, is it definitly your wireless router it's connected to and not someone else's signal?

the internet explorer says..."iternet explorer cannot display the webpage"

the firewall software is a windows firewall.

and the wireless connection is connect to default which i pressume is ours.

Enter 192.168.0.1 into the address bar, does it take you to the D-link page? Try it on one of your others to compare.

Also swicth off Windows firewall.

What access control do you have on your router? How is the network protected.

Which firewall are you running? I lost my internet on a acer netbook when i accidently clicked no on a firewall popup, I turned my firewall off and it then worked. Once I knew it was that i could add it to the exceptions list. I was running zone alarm btw.
