Alky   10 #3 Posted December 27, 2009 Not necesserily - there are programs out there that can be used to recover them - DO NOT TAKE ANY MORE PICTURES!  I am certain that one of the forum gurus can help - be patient 'cos I know this can be done!  Last resort would be to try Jessops or a specialist camera store like Jacobs (5 Rockingham Gate, Sheffield - 0114 272 0908) or Harrisons (112-114 London Road, Sheffield - 0114 276 0002). tab1 Â Â 10 #4 Posted December 27, 2009 (edited) Have a read of something like this and then search for some free software that may be able to help you do that. http://www.online-tech-tips.com/computer-tips/how-to-recover-deleted-corrupted-or-formatted-pictures-for-free/ Â This piece of software I found useful though, the 'Recuva'-- http://www.piriform.com/recuva/download Edited December 27, 2009 by tab1
 Share this content via...
pinkpanties   10 #5 Posted December 27, 2009 Use this http://www.z-a-recovery.com/ It worked 100% for me when i did the same thing. Just DONT take any more pics until youve recovered your lost ones as youll just overwrite the lost ones and then they will be gone forever. Plain Talker   11 #6 Posted December 27, 2009 My camera has a facility where you can recover pictures you've accidentally deleted..  (have a sift through your menu or your "destructions" book that came with the camera.)
 Share this content via...
donky7 Â Â 10 #7 Posted December 27, 2009 yep, software is available for this purpose, providing the card has not been formatted, or like PP says, dont take anymore untill you have back what you need. Â i use rescue pro, which came with my compaq flash cards.
 Share this content via...
muddycoffee   10 #8 Posted December 27, 2009 Flash memory does not work like a disk drive. When you delete you have to delete a whole block of memory at a time. This means that the pictures will probably be fine but marked as deleted on the card.  If you cannot get one of the programs above to work, there is a professional data recovery company in sheffield who can recover your pictures, although you will have to pay. http://www.abcdatarecovery.co.uk/USB-Flash-Memory-Recovery/
 Share this content via...
Bethsmummy   10 #9 Posted December 27, 2009 I did this on the last day of my hols in the summer. First I threw a major tantrum then I phoned my brother in law who is very technically minded.  He said he he had some software that could possibly retrieve them BUT NOT TO TAKE ANY MORE PHOTOS UNTIL HE'D TRIED.  Well with it been the last day and I'd lost the whole lot, I went snap crazy taking loads to recompense. When we got home the photos couldnt be found because I'd effectively written over their memory. So whatever you do do not use you camera until you've checked.
