Arctic Monkeys, Cornerstone - pub crawl

Lots of pubs are mentioned in the song.... at least I assume they are pub name references. Any idea if these pubs exist? Are they in Sheffield? If they do then it would be possible to do an Arctic Monkeys pub crawl....

According to 'Sheffield Pub Guide' there are no pubs with these names in Sheffield anyway.

You could always have a few in each.... or add some more pubs in on route?

 

Yeah I had a quick search on google and yell.com and couldn't find them either.... chances are they are made up pub names. It's a shame if they don't exist

It would have been nice to think they were actually Sheffield pubs, any reference to my home town makes me feel quite proud.

Maybe you could do pubs that have similar names?

 

Instead of Parrot's Beak, you could have Frog and Parrot etc.

This is a great plan... I'm sure there must be lots of pubs with similar names. I will do some research, any excuse for a pub crawl

Well there's The Milestone, instead of the Cornerstone, and the Ship Inn instead of the Battleship - they're also pretty close to each other.

 

Add the Frog and Parrot and your almost there - can't think of anything similar to a Rusty Hook though.

yes they do have that honour of course. Their lyrics go straight over my head, far too deep for me....its easier reading the complete potted history of the Philosphical School of Existentialism..Ijmean what is this about?
