The 2009/10 Snow Megathread

Recommended Posts

Valid point, i suppose it`ll still be acceptable to post about Swinton, Manchester train journeys, Skegness trips and where best to go on Holiday though eh:hihi:

What you need to appreciate is that you didn't make it clear in your initial post that the incident involving your vehicle didn't take place here in the city, or that your statement regarding gritting policies was referring to the nation and not the city. You therefore shouldn't be surprised when Forummers make statements defending Sheffield's gritters and Sheffield City Council.

Green grass here now, dont want snow tbh till february, like the freeze of 1991, when you had ice in the house windows, and 2 foot snow on your metal bins, before wheelie bins:hihi:;)

The rain overnight has washed away all but the deepest of the snow here on Stradbroke. I can honestly say I'm chuffed to bits seeing the ice go! :hihi:

Are you serious?! If so, that certainly demonstrates the altitudinal difference between various points within the city and local area!
