The 2009/10 Snow Megathread

Recommended Posts

heavy snow showers as from 3.00 friday morning lasting till 8.00 friday morning, take a look at the bbc video forcast , great for travelling to work in

Metcheck says 'mainly clear'.

And the BBC weather forcast I'm looking at gives 'light snow shower' from midnight to three and that's your lot.

Here on Stradbroke there was a beautiful pink sunset highlighting the scraggy clouds this evening. Surely this means we'll be getting nowt for the next 24 hours? xxx

thanks v much htafcjode v helpful, was thinking i might get a sarcastic reply so glad i didnt! Would appear the snow plough or whatever they are called has been out, and also fair bit of grit around too.

Thanks mr and mrs gritter/ploughers!!!!

You're welcome! :)

I think we're generally very lacking in knowledge about driving in the snow in this country (myself included), just because it happens so rarely. So people shouldn't be so quick to criticise when some people don't know what to do...

EDIT: Whoops, just realised you might not have been on about my link to the driving in snow thing, but instead my update on Deepcar. Either way, no worries!
