Music shops besides HMV

Recommended Posts

What is it you are looking for, there are plenty of DJ's on here specialising in many different types of music who will know places if its of a particular genre.

I could say reflex but if you are after Napalm death then its no good.

What? Shows how often I go into town these days.

Never mind - there's still Violent May's on Division Street isn't there?

Really Basil,I've always looked up to you as a reliable source of information on this forum.Wasn't Violet Mays on Matilda St? And I thought Bradleys was on Pinstone St.Or was that Curtis records?

If I were the OP,I'd try Cann the music man on Surrey St.

You'd have a field day in Record collectors FF5. I restrict myself to one or two visits per year for financial reasons. :hihi:

Try them again. :)

Come take a look at LP Records, round the Back of the Howard Pub, on Howard Street.

As well as Record Collector (try the second hand bit especially - I've bought loads and never anything wrong with them), have a look at Head (I think it's called, looks like Zavvi used to) in Meadowhell. It's about 100m from the frankly rubbish and expensive HMV. Quite a good selection and cheap so you end up buying twice as many as you went in for, plus a few books and DVDs.

Rare and Racy on Devonshire Street (by Devonshire Green) is another possibility - it doesn't have that much music, but it's an interesting selection.
