I have just ordered my first one beemerchez

 

I decided to go with an eyes shut one. The detail is on her is so lovely, the capilaries and veins round her eyes make her look so real and she is so pretty.

Because I like them and think the artists have a fantastic talent. The time and detail is amazing. I have a couple os steiff teddies aswel. I don't see reborns as any different to any other type of artists collectible tbh.

I agree there's no denying the artists talent. Each to his or her own I guess.

I Like them but dont think I could own one as they remind me of my nephew who was still born he looked just like a baby asleep

I have made a few of these, have sold some on e-bay and some to friends, i love making them, but don't collect them. There is a big doll show taking place in Elsecar in september, it draws in quite a crowd.

reborn dolls are really lovely depending on how they look, some you can get that don't look cute or nice but then some you can get what are brilliant, my mum bought me 1 a few years ago cost her abit but she is a lovely reborn doll. i personally like these myself and would love to collect alot but they do cost quite alot of money but are worth it. bagger they are made to look life like

hi just wondering if anyone on here makes reborn baby dolls? im interested in trying to start making them but ideally would need some help/lessons first before i started buying the kits

There's no doubting the skill of the artists who do this well, (though there are also plenty of awful attempts out there,) Good ones can be viewed as works of art, but I personally think they are a bit creepy.

They make me feel very uncomfortable.

 

That's me being silly and judgmental though, which I will happily admit. If they bring anyone pleasure, that is fine. Still make me feel uncomfortable.
