GHS1961 10 #1 Posted November 24, 2009 A rare event for me as I normally have a home made sandwich for lunch at my desk. I have to take a couple of colleagues from out of town for a good quality meal this Thursday. Used to use the Wig & Pen when I did this thing more often but I've had mixed reports. Ideally I want somewhere in the city centre, that isn't a chain restaurant (so that rules out pretty much everywhere in Leopold Square) and won't cost more than £15 per head.Preferably somewhere that should be reasonably busy with a decent non stuffy atmosphere Ideas/thoughts appreciated. MichaelPC74 10 #3 Posted November 24, 2009 Hi I've had a really good lunch today at The Milestone in Kelham Island. It is a popular venue for people meeting for business and social reasons, but I thought the food was excellent - it's even in next years Michelin Guide for eating out in pubs. You can easily find it on a google search but as I have posted fewer than 5 times I can't put the link here ..... it's the-milestone.co.uk. And no ...... I HAVE NO CONNECTION WITH THIS PLACE !! :-)
 Share this content via...
