Akpo Sodje to join Charlton on loan

Recommended Posts

view to permanent move? what a load of garbage, we would be left with jeffers who no-one will have, clarke who scores once every blue moon, and even thats a tap in from 1 yard :hihi:, tudgay who looks just as off recently, modest who has no 1st team experience. i dont mind the 28 day loan but if we lose him then what have we got left.

weve got varney till january and he looks like he could still get us a few goals.

id still critize laws if he agrees a move for next summer before he has chance to see what he can do when at full match fitness. stupid decision if he does that. he could come back and bag us loads of goals but the deal could already have been done.

Can you take Varney on until the end of the season, or not allowed to keep him after January? And would you want to?

Burton scores for Charlton.

... and Peter Gilbert got sent off for Northampton on his debut!

Some things never change.

I think we can take varney till the end of the season but its all in derbys hands, if clough wants him back, then obviously he can take him.

Id like varney to stay i think hes got goals in him especially if he was settled in where his long term future lies.

reading between the lines theres no way that sodjes move will be permanent, laws is looking forward to having a rejuvenated sodje back in the Wed team.

Who is laws going to bring in??

Laws won't say, and we can't guess.

Cover for Spurr at left back?

A defensive holding midfielder?

A 20 goal a season striker?

An expensive mistake?

Back Laws, we'll be reight!

Charlton are going to try and sign him on a permenant deal in January .

Laws has already said the situation is in Wednesday's hands and Akpo wants to stay as he loves it at Wednesday. If he plays well and plays well for Wednesday, he'll be staying. It's upto Sodje to prove it.

Nothing like a home coming though Alty, sounds like Akpo has settled in nicely south of the river;
