Bob Arctor   11 #1 Posted November 9, 2009 I reckon The Sprawl, Cross the Breeze and Eric's Trip on Daydream Nation is one of the best 3 in a row on any album. its a great album even though it has its not so good moments but those 3 tracks together are great. What are your 3 in a row favourites?
 Share this content via...
Guest   #2 Posted November 9, 2009 Elvis Costello - My Aim is True. Opening three tracks.  1. Welcome to the Working Week - a storming first track, with one of the best opening lyrics on a debut album ('Now that your picture's in the paper being rhythmically admired...').  2. Miracle Man - continues the theme and the style ('I could tell you that I like your sensitivity, when you know it's the way that you walk').  3. No Dancing - a little slower but no less bitterly frustrated. This is a superb performance.
 Share this content via...
Guest sibon   #3 Posted November 9, 2009 (edited) Welcome To The Working Week Miracle Man No Dancing  Elvis Costello. My Aim is true.  Done and dusted in seven and a half minutes. Just the way music should be.   Edit: I thought I'd beaten Hecate to it. Obviously not. Guest   #6 Posted November 9, 2009 Costello is vastly overrated. Some of his later stuff isn't up to the standard of his earlier work, I agree.  What are your three in a row favourites?
 Share this content via...

This is a superb performance.  Good to see early Elvis Costello rated highly  There's loads of "three in a rows" on his first four albums. horribleblob   212 #10 Posted November 10, 2009 This morning?  1. Monty's Jurassic lark 2. Monster killer-mix 3. Thin at one end, fat in the middle  From Tartarsaurus by Doctors of Dub. Bit of a cheat as it's not strictly and album, these being the only three tracks.
 Share this content via...
