Where on Abbey lane is this?

On the same side as the Spar, just a few shops further down.

Grenoside Chippy

Only open Thursday and Friday evening and Saturday lunchtime but worth the weekly wait! :)

Grenoside Chippy is my favourite. The portions are sensible sizes, not too big.

used to live there for 20 years and if its still there the one on high street opposite the blue stoops pub was always ok and i think i did proper sheffield fish cakes ie not risoles (mashed up in breadcrumbs etc)

the one on the main a61 road opposite the train station was bad and pricey

can't recall another chippy in dronfield tbh but i'm going back a few years now!

They are lovely and the fish butty's are gorgeous - don't forget a healthy dose of ketchup on them, too! :)

Having tried most chipshops in sheffield, the only one i will go back to is harry ramsdens in MH. Chips not re-fried or frozen, fish ok.
