Robbie Loving   10 #13 Posted November 2, 2009 The game has to run for 70 minutes minimum.  If it less than this then it has to be replayed.
 Share this content via...
Mucus   10 #14 Posted November 7, 2009 (edited) I recall a few years back when Real Madrid were playing and the match was abandoned after 80+ minutes due to a bomb scare with the score at 1-1.  They replayed the final 10 minutes a few days later and Madrid won 2-1. Doubtful any away fans made the trip!  *Edit-- here  http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/sport/article-15293624-real-to-complete-bomb-threat-match.do Edited November 7, 2009 by Mucus
 Share this content via...
kerouac_zoso   10 #15 Posted November 7, 2009 Dundee Utd v Rangers this afternoon. Rangers lead 1-0 at half time, but there has been that much rain the game is abandoned. Only 45 minutes were played and I think you have to play 60 for result to stand, so what happens now? Do they replay starting from scratch or replay second half at 1 nil?  In Italy replay the match from the point of interruption. Hopman   46 #16 Posted November 12, 2009 There was one league game where the match was abandoned after 40 minutes and the result stood at 0-0.  May 1985 Bradford City v Lincoln City.
 Share this content via...

CHAIRBOY   10 #18 Posted December 1, 2009 The game has to run for 70 minutes minimum. If it less than this then it has to be replayed.  Heard ex-referee, Dermot Gallagher, supporting the above view yesterday.
 Share this content via...
happyhippy   11 #19 Posted December 1, 2009 The game has to run for 70 minutes minimum. If it less than this then it has to be replayed.  Only if the competition rules allow for it.  From FIFA, via the Football League.  The important bit:  ABANDONED MATCH An abandoned match is replayed unless the competition rules provide otherwise.  Nowt about it being timebound.
