Surely the problem therefore lies with a sensationalist right -wing media and a lazy consumer society? The BNP are very used to using new-media outlets like the internet however to spread lies and miss-information about immigration such as orchestrating the wildcat strikes about foreign workers in last few months.

The BNP tried to infitrate the strikes.

This is what the strikers thought of them:

In closing, I will, If I may, offer you some advice purely to think about.

When, and only when, you as a moderator or you as a team who run and look after this place, decide to create an arena, that discourages one side of an opinion, from referring or suggesting that the other side are pathetic, cowardly, pedo friendly, rapist friendly, nazis, racists, thicko's, ****/muslim haters etc., ad nauseum...

No, in the nature of debate (remembering that as a moderator I'm still allowed to post as regular user, and would be treated in exactly the same way) I shall respond, and not just think about it.

If you honestly think that the BNP supporters have not been asked to engage in debate and to explain or justify its stances then you a horribly misguided. You have not been discouraged. Far from it. You have been encouraged, yet not one will come and answer questions.

Not a one of you. Once again, the BNP starts its "We're the victims" mentality. Aren't all of us who oppose the overt racism so espoused by the BNP just "lily-livered, pinko, liberal leftie, commie loving traitors"?

Insults can go both ways, but can you deny that the BNP does not have racism at its core?

...THEN, and only then, will you get people like me AND what may well be an average of your 39.22% SF members coming to threads like this to have the proper debates you seem to crave.

Sixty odd people who give an internet poll a remarkably skewed look who consistently refuse to enter into debate, just like you.

We crave the debate? Wasn't it the BNP who complained about not having a voice, and then complained about the reaction when they got that voice?

You will notice, although i haven't looked through the whole thread, that only one side always seems to do that. Perhaps I have broader shoulders, I don't know. That kind of stuff doesn't bother me. But stop wondering why sensible debate doesn't happen when this kind of thing does. I'd type nothing on here that I wouldn't say to a persons face.

So tell me what you think about the BNP's policy with regard to the quoted clause from the 'Statement of Principles'? It's a genuine question, and is genuine BNP policy. Will you debate it or no?

It doesn't make your side of the argument look particularly bright and it doesn't set the tone for sensible talk.

If this thread is the kind of debate you want, stop wondering why i for one, don't want to be part of it.

Good day.

The voice of a beaten bully.

Just to add to HH's excelllent reply - If you have broader shoulders than most, why are you walking away?

Can you explain why the all white Britain that Griffin wishes to see is such a desirable thing?

Couldn't be lack of spine could it?

What do people think about the poll results? over 39% in favour, it has suprised me.

Well it is for 232 people on here.

I voted don't know by the way.

I dont think it's so surprising alex, threads of this nature tend to attract those with firm and entrenched views, as we know they are often vilified by people who are not politically motivated.

The BNP is a party of extreme and the vast majority of the population is middle of the road, they also dont see the need to visit threads like this.

What you can say is that the majority of BNP supporters amongst the forum membership will have seen and voted on the poll, whereas not everyone who is moderate will have.

A total vote of 232, from a membership of 80,000 is not representative. Even if you assume only 20000 are regular users it still represents only 1% of the total membership, the rest will continue to vote for the mainstream parties like they always have done, with perhaps 5%-6% favouring the BNP as they did do in the Euro elections.

slacko, why do you support a party that has so many rapists and paedophiles among its members?

You seem intent on bringing this subject up in your post's so in fairness which party of pedo's do you support,

"A former mayor escaped jail today after being convicted of possessing and distributing child pornography.

Stewart Brown, 60, admitted 21 offences of possessing indecent images of children and one of distributing pictures.

At Leeds Crown Court today he was given a nine-month prison sentence which was suspended for two years."

"A 55-YEAR-OLD former Conservative councillor, who became "infatuated" with a 13-year-old girl and sexually assaulted her was jailed for eight years today (Monday).

David Kirton, 55, formerly of Longbanks, Harlow, Essex, later of Stevenage, also admitted committing two other sexual offences on the girl during an eight-month period."

"JaIling 42-year-old Shaw, Judge David Swift said, "At the time you were in a possession of public responsibility, a man to whom others might look for an example."

Liverpool Crown Court heard that Shaw had been a Labour councillor for Wigan West for three years and also a member of the Greater Manchester Transport Authority,

Judge Swift told Shaw that the indecent images, totalling almost 2,000, involved the exploitation of children, "some very young indeed." The children had been subjected to "degrading and sickening experiences", he said."

"A FORMER Worcester UKIP candidate –- who has since converted to Islam – has been sentenced for possessing indecent photographs of children.

Jason Phillips, who stood in the city’s 2007 elections for the Arboretum ward, had previously admitted downloading two indecent images of a child."

"

Former Deputy Mayor Jailed For Grooming Teen

A former deputy mayor has been sentenced to eight months in prison for attempting to 'groom' a 13-year-old girl for sex.

Morris Lightfoot, 55, of Dryden Close, Bilton, Harrogate, was arrested in November last year, and appeared before York Crown Court on Tuesday for sentencing.

The 55-year-old was caught by a sting operation by an administrator on a social networking site.

The Lib Dem councillor, who represented Bilton on Harrogate Borough Council and Bilton and Nidd Gorge on North Yorkshire county Council, was also automatically disqualified from being a councillor as a result of his sentence."

Seems like all party's have some so what's your point.

All part of their attempts to take over the dispute and associate themselves with something that had nothing to do with them.

Indeed, that was my point in the first place; they seem very good at spreading miss-information.

To be fair it came across as bullying to me too and confirmed the point dragon was making.

I can't stand the BNP but it's a reallity that those who vote for it are not all far right nutcases these days. Many people, including me, are concerned with the scale of uncontrolled mass-imigration - personally i'm not prepared to give my vote to a party like the BNP on that issue alone as so many of their other policies are idiotic and/or objectionable. But some people are, and may have formed their view through slick canvassing etc. Demonising those who may feel that the BNP is standing up for them just drives them firther towards the BNP.

===========

i tried to argue this yesterday

your comment is spot on

all you will get back is rants, soundbites, and of course racist

anti bnp posters are helping the bnp with there anti democratic stance.

You can't stand the BNP, but you've fallen for their lies.

Immigration accounts for less than one quarter of one per cent of the population.
