I was a bit taken aback too, but I wouldn't say she was stupid, just not up on either biology or current terminology, maybe? I was surprised that the guy with the dreads also referred to himself as 'half-caste' Where did they get the participants from? I haven't heard anyone use that term in the last 40 years, although it was common parlance when I was a kid.

 

I wish I'd watched it properly now but I was out at the start and on the phone during most of it.
