lizmachin   10 #19 Posted October 28, 2009 (edited) Don't waste your pumpkins making lanterns. Use them to make pumpkin rum.  Slice the top off the pumpkin. Hollow the seeds and loose material in the center. Fill up the space with brown sugar, ginger, cinamon and yeast. Replace the top.  Wait for hissing and bubbling to stop, then pierce a hole through the bottom of the pumpkin and allow the rum to drain. Schiann   10 #20 Posted October 28, 2009 ..cut off the lid scoop all the horrid stuff out...  .. separate the seeds from the flesh, spread the seeds out on a baking tray, sprinkle with a bit of salt/spices, and roast in the oven until golden brown.
