The one with the chip shop run by cottrells(i think thats what they were called)they don't make em like that anymore.

Too right mate.But remember Paragon in firth park.you could get a curry special or one with peas or gravy.Only could have them once a week because there was eight of us in our family,10 if you counted mam & dad.we use to have that ever thursday,must have been pay day.bless

My mums family lived on Bevercotes RD (Eccles) My mum, her two sisters and brother. My mum (Bessie) is in her 70's now she has fond memories of the area.

 

hi im trying to find out about a family member for my family tree, if you can help , his name was george eccles, he died in 1967/68, he was a painter , he lived in shirgreen, thankyou
